the answer is d. 12 cuz a cube is the same length in each side so the width is 6 and so is the length so 6×6 =36 so that's the area of the square and 6 ×12=72 divided by 2 (since it's a triangle) is 36 so the value of x is 12

State the domain and range and determine if it's a function?
Dmitriy789 [7]

Answer:

The domain is the set of all "x" values and the range is set of all "y" values in a set of ordered pairs. ... If each x-value corresponds with only one y-value, then the relation is a function.-by-step explanation:

Identify the Y intercept of the the equation 5x+8y =120
jolli1 [7]

Answer:

(0,15)

Step-by-step explanation:

The Y-intercept is when X=0, so plug in x=0 into the given equation. 5(0)+8y=120. Now solve for Y. 8y=120, y=15. So When x=0, y=15: this is the coordinate (0,15).

find the measure of the complementary angles that satisfy each case. the measure of the first angle is 30 greater than the measu
Inga [223]

Answer:

First angle: 60°

Second angle: 30°

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the two angles be signified by the variables x & y.

Let the first angle = x, and the second angle = y.

It is given that:

"The measure[ments] of the complementary angles...": x + y = 90°

"The measure of the first angle is 30 greater than the measure of the second angle": x = y + 30°

Use the system of equations. Plug in y + 30 for x in the first equation:

(y + 30) + y = 90

Combine like terms:

(y + y) + 30 = 90

2y + 30 = 90

Isolate the variable, y. Note the equal sign, what you do to one side, you do to the other. Do the opposite of PEMDAS. First, subtract 30 from both sides of the equation:

2y + 30 (-30) = 90 (-30)

2y = 90 - 30

2y = 60

Next, divide 2 from both sides of the equation:

(2y)/2 = (60)/2

y = 60/2

y = 30°

Plug in 30 for y in one of the equations:

x = y + 30

x = (30) + 30

x = 60°

Your answers:

First angle: 60°

Second angle: 30°
