Note the number line:

< ----|----|----|----|----|----|----|----|----|----|----|------------------------------------------------>
      -7  -6   -5   -4   -3  -2  -1    0    1    2    3

There is 10 spaces inbetween -7 and 3

This means that D. 10 is your answer

Note that when counting distance between the two  numbers, add them regardless of their sign, and you get your distance.

hope this helps

We have:

a_1=-3

and:

r=4

so:

$\sum\limits_{n=2}^5\,-3\cdot4^{n-1}=\sum\limits_{n=1}^5\,-3\cdot4^{n-1}-a_1=S_5-a_1=\frac{-3-(-3)\cdot 4^5}{1-4}-(-3)=

=\dfrac{-3-(-3)\cdot 1024}{-3}+3=\dfrac{-3(1-1024)}{-3}+3=1-1024+3=\boxed{-1020}

It is a finite sum, so it is convergent.

The number of customers for a new online business can be modeled by y = 8x2 + 100x + 250, where x represents the number of month
kenny6666 [7]
The best prediction for the number of customers is 5450.

To find this value, you just need to plug in 20 for x into the expression. Then, evaluate it using the order of operations.

8(20)^2 + 100(20) + 250
8(400) + 100(20) + 250
3200 + 2000 + 250
5450
