F(x) = x^3
f(-x) = (-x)^3 = -x^3
but if u factor out the negative then
f(-x) = -(x)^3
therefore it is an odd function because f(-x) = -f(x)

HELP !!!! can someone help me please how can i use the vertex formula to find this equation for this graph ?
DedPeter [7]
Based on that table of values, we know the highest point(vertex) is at 0.9, 5.9

we can also use just one another point... say 1.4, 4.6

\bf \qquad \textit{parabola vertex form}\\\\
\begin{array}{llll}
y=a(x-{{ h}})^2+{{ k}}
\end{array} \qquad\qquad  vertex\ ({{ h}},{{ k}})\\\\
-------------------------------\\\\

\bf \begin{cases}
h=0.9\\
k=5.9
\end{cases}\implies y=a(x-0.9)^2+5.9
\\\\\\
\begin{cases}
\textit{another point}\\
x=1.4\\
y=4.6
\end{cases}\implies 4.6=a(1.4-0.9)^2+5.9
\\\\\\
4.6=a(0.5)^2+5.9\implies 4.6-5.9=a(0.5)^2\implies -1.3=a(0.5)^2
\\\\\\
\cfrac{-1.3}{0.5^2}=a\implies -5.2=a
\\\\\\
thus\qquad \qquad \boxed{y=-5.2(x-0.9)^2+5.9}

Shawn has $12.00  The arcade has an admission fee of $3.00 and then charges $0.25 for each game.
Valentin [98]

Answer:

If I'm not mistaken I believe the answer is B.

Step-by-step explanation:

His total was 12 but then you have to subtract 3 for the admission fee which leaves with $9.

The inequality from option B states that the $3 from the admission and the $0.25 per game would be less than or equal to his total amount of 12.

Convert: 600 miles per hour to km per hour.
sashaice [31]

Answer:

<u>The correct answer is that 600 miles per hour are equivalent to 965.4 kilometers per hour</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let's check the information given to resolve the question:

Convert 600 miles per hour to kilometers per hour

2. Let's proceed with the conversion:

1 mile per hour = 1.609 kilometers per hour

then:

600 miles per hour = 600 * 1.609 kilometers per hour

600 miles per hour = 965.4 kilometers per hour

<u>The correct answer is that 600 miles per hour are equivalent to 965.4 kilometers per hour</u>
