Answer:

The estimated percentage is 75%.

Explanation:

It is very common for American people to have a sedentary lifestyle. This is especially true for people who are working in the managerial position. The availability of fast food everywhere is also one factor. It is said that 75% of the US population is estimated not to engage in 30 minutes of low-to-moderate physical activity. This estimation fluctuates according to age, gender and occupation. Another contributing factor to having less physical activity is the rate of unemployment. People who are unemployed find it hard to focus on exercise or physical activity. Instead, they divert their energy towards looking for work.

It is essential to have at least 30 minutes of low-to-moderate exercise 5 times a week in order to stay healthy. America's situation makes them more susceptible to chronic diseases such as diabetes, cancer and obesity.

Create a list and explain the medical risks unique to teenage pregnancy.
cupoosta [38]

Answer:

These are only a few but are some of the most dangerous.

-Cephalopelvic Disproportion (CPD)

CPD, also referred to as small bony pelvis, is when a baby’s head is unable to fit through the mother’s pelvis either due to size or positioning. In teen pregnancies, this can be more prominent due to the underdeveloped pelvic bones of the mother. Though CPD is a rare condition, being aware of its presence in advance can precipitate scheduling a Cesarean section to avoid complications such as painful labor and/or tearing of the birth canal.

-Placenta Previa

During pregnancy, the placenta develops inside the uterus, connecting to the baby via the umbilical cord to provide nutrition and oxygen and removing waste. When the placenta covers the cervix, this leads to placenta previa, a potentially life-threatening condition where severe bleeding occurs. It can also lead to pre-term births.

-Anemia

Anemia refers to a deficiency of healthy red blood cells leading to inadequate amounts of oxygen being carried to the body’s tissues. Symptoms of this condition include fatigue, headaches, dizziness, shortness of breath and weakness.

How does California's Safely Surrendered Baby Law help parents who are unable to care for their babies? by ensuring that parents
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

This report concludes that, although the intent of the safe-surrender law is admirable, it

does not impose sufficient requirements on any state agency to publicize its availability, thus

potentially reducing the law’s effectiveness. Moreover, the State’s failure to provide consistent

funding for promoting the law may further reduce its effectiveness. However, the Department

of Social Services (Social Services) did conduct a media campaign from October 2002 to

December 2003 to increase public awareness of the safe-surrender law. We also found that

many counties have developed interesting approaches to increase public awareness of the law.

Although Social Services’ initial efforts exceeded its statutory obligations, it has not developed

any further goals for conducting additional activities to publicize the safe-surrender law

because it believes it has fulfilled its minimal obligations. The department also stated that the

ongoing awareness efforts at the local level, combined with the lack of an “alarming increase”

in the number of abandoned babies mitigate the need for additional efforts. However, our

audit revealed that Social Services is using understated statistics on abandoned babies when it

concludes that further efforts to heighten public awareness are unnecessary.
