Darwin’s comments about eyes are often used as evidence against evolution by natural selection, but only because his quotes are

taken out of context. Darwin did not think that the possibility that eyes evolved through natural selection was actually "absurd in the highest degree." What was the basis of his logical argument and what evidence do we have to support it?

Explanation:

Darwin proposed the theory of evolution and also the mechanism of how the species evolved that is through natural selection.

He produced so many evidence which supported his hypothesis and one of them was that he tried to study the evolution of the eye and observed that the there are so many varieties of an eye in the different organism which is the result of the natural selection.

But his statement in his book represented in the paragraph showed that looking at the eye of organism he was puzzled and questioned himself about evolution.

How would a geologist use absolute dating to determine the age of sedimentary layers? by dating the age of intrusions and extrus
ad-work [718]

Answer:

Radiometric dating methods

Explanation:

Absolute dating is the process of determining an age on a chronological or specified time scale in which events occurred in archaeology and geology. Absolute dating can be determined by using properties of the atoms that make up materials.

The most common method of absolute dating uses by geologists is radiometric dating methods which is based on the natural radioactive decay of certain elements such as potassium and carbon found in the rocks. By comparing the ratio of parent isotope with a known half-life to daughter product in the rock, the age of the rock can be determined.

The carbon-14 isotope is used in radiocarbon dating, but is only useful for measuring recently formed rocks in the geologic past. The decay of Potassium-40 isotope known as potassium-argon (K-Ar) method allows dating of materials that up to 1,000 billion years old.

In which main regions of the kidney are the glomerulus and the bowman’s capsule located?
docker41 [41]

Answer: The correct answer is cortex

Explanation:

The glomerulus and the bowman’s capsule are both located in the Cortex, one of the two main regions of the kidney, alongside the Medulla.

The glomerulus is a mass of blood capillaries linked to urinary tubule, while the Bowman's capsule is a cup-shaped structure. The glomerulus filters materials such water, urea, glucose ET into the bowman's capsule in a process called ultrafiltration, a necessary step in urine formation.
