The central nervous system (CNS) comprises of the brain and spinal cord. It is a crucial part of the body as most of the functions and actions of the body are controlled by the central nervous system. Although the functioning of the central nervous system is complex but it can be generally summarized as:

  • Collection of sensory input from the body or from the external environment.
  • Recognize and interpret the sensory input.
  • Provide an authentic response, action or output for the input.
