You have to make x alone and positive in one side

-2x +4 -4 < 16 -4

=-2x < 12

-2x /2 <12 /2

= -x < 6

-x /-1 < 6/-1

( symbol < changes to ">" when the inequation is seperated to a negative number)

=x > -6
