There is a theorem that said that the ratio of lengths of chords at point  of intersection are the same.
I think the relationship would be X/W  = Y/Z

hope this helps

Answer with explanation:

Following theorems are used when there are segments that is chords are drawn inside the circle

1. Equal chords are equidistant from the center.

2. Perpendicular from the center to the chord bisects the chord.

3. Chord which are larger in length is nearer from the center.

⇒If these two segments are equal in length

 X +W=Z +Y

Otherwise, X+W > Z +Y

There is other relation possible between segment.

Join A, B,C and D.

In Δ AOB and ΔCOD

Angle in the same segment of a circle are equal.

→∠1=∠2

→∠3=∠4

→∠5=∠6------Vertically opposite angle

⇒ Δ AOB ≅ ΔCOD----[AAA similarity]

When triangles are similar their sides are proportional.

    \rightarrow \frac{OA}{OD}=\frac{OB}{OC}\\\\\rightarrow \frac{X}{Z}=\frac{Y}{W}

→X W=Z Y

The children had 2 puzzles with 226 pieces and 4 puzzles with 558 pieces. How many pieces were in the puzzles altogether?
rosijanka [135]

Answer:

2884 pieces

Step-by-step explanation:

First you have to multiply 2 and 226:

2 x 266 = 532

Then you have to multiply 4 and 558:

4 x 558 = 2352

After that you have add those two to make your answer:

532 + 2352 = 2884

There is your answer.

HELP M E NOW PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEee
Elodia [21]

Answer:

In order, top to bottom: y = 2, 1, 0, 1, 2

Step-by-step explanation:

The rule is essentially saying that in order to change x into y, you find the absolute value of x. The absolute value is the integer value without a negative. Therefore, all that's needed is to find the positive version of each of the x values.

Which statements are true about angle b in this triangle?
Naya [18.7K]

Answer:

b) \sin(B) = \frac{\sqrt 2}{2}

e) \tan(B) = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

The attached triangle

Required

The true statement about B

The given options show that we determine the correct trigonometry ratio of B.

So, we have:

\cos(B) = \frac{Adjacent}{Hypotenuse}

This gives:

\cos(B) = \frac{a}{c}

Where:

a = 3mm\\c = 3\sqrt 2 mm

\cos(B) = \frac{3}{3\sqrt 2}

3 cancels out

\cos(B) = \frac{1}{\sqrt 2}

Rationalize

\cos(B) = \frac{1}{\sqrt 2}* \frac{\sqrt 2}{\sqrt 2}

\cos(B) = \frac{\sqrt 2}{\sqrt 2*\sqrt 2}

\cos(B) = \frac{\sqrt 2}{12}

Also:

\sin(B) = \frac{Opposite}{Hypotenuse}

This gives:

\sin(B) = \frac{b}{c}

Where:

b = 3mm\\c = 3\sqrt 2 mm

\sin(B) = \frac{3}{3\sqrt 2}

3 cancels out

\sin(B) = \frac{1}{\sqrt 2}

Rationalize

\sin(B) = \frac{1}{\sqrt 2}* \frac{\sqrt 2}{\sqrt 2}

\sin(B) = \frac{\sqrt 2}{\sqrt 2 * \sqrt 2 }

\sin(B) = \frac{\sqrt 2}{2}

Lastly:

\tan(B) = \frac{\sin(B)}{\cos(B)}

This gives:

\tan(B) = \frac{\sqrt{2}/2}{\sqrt{2}/2}

\tan(B) = 1

<em>Hence, (b) and (e) are true</em>
