So, in chemistry this is a homework I've had to do but never got around to doing it. I don't really understand it too well. It's

conversions, and we have to show our work using factor label method (I don't even know what that is tbh). Can anyone help?

Answers and explanation:

The factor label method, also known as dimentional analysis, is a way to do conversions.

To do it you use fractions with units, for example this is how you would do question one:

20 mL × \frac{1L}{1000mL} = 0.02 L

Since 1L = 1000mL, we put the fraction \frac{1L}{1000mL}. The litres are on top because they are the unit we want, while the mL are on the bottom so that they will cancel out. Certain questions may require more than one step of this.

We can use this same method with all the other questions:

2. 950 g × \frac{1kg}{1000g} = 0.95 kg

3. 55 mm × \frac{1m}{1000mm} = 0.055 m

4. 200 in × \frac{2.54cm}{1in} = 508 cm

5. 25 cm × \frac{10mm}{1cm} = 250 mm

6. 0.005 kg × \frac{100dag}{1kg} = 0.5 dag

7. 2 hrs × \frac{3600s}{1hr} = 7200 s

8. 15 g × \frac{1000mg}{1g} = 15000 mg

9. 1.3 yrs × \frac{365d}{1yr} × \frac{24hr}{1d} = 11388 hrs

10. 0.075 m × \frac{100cm}{1m} = 7.5 cm

What is the bond order for the carbon-nitrogen bond in acetonitrile, CH3CN? 2.2.0 03.0.5 C. 3.0 d. 1.5 0.1.0
marin [14]

Answer:

C. 3.0

Explanation:

Bond order is number of the bonding pairs of the electrons between two atoms.

For CH_3CN,

The total number of the valence electrons  = 2(4) + 1(5) + 3(1) = 16

The Lewis structure is drawn in such a way that the octet of each atom and duet for the hydrogen in the molecule is complete. So,

The Lewis structure is:

          H

           :

H   :    C   :   C   :  :  :   N :

           :

          H

Bond pairs between C and N is 3

<u>So bond pair is 3.</u>

astraxan [27]

Answer:

Light, sound, and waves in the ocean are common examples of waves. Sound and water waves are mechanical waves; meaning, they require a medium to travel through. The medium may be a solid, a liquid, or a gas, and the speed of the wave depends on the material properties of the medium through which it is traveling.

The vaporization of Br2 from the liquid gas to the solid state requires 7.4 kcal/nil what is the triangleH for this process
SSSSS [86.1K]

The initial state of the compound Br2 is liquid. The final state is then solid. We know for certain that the liquid state has higher energy as compared to solid state. Due to this fact, Br2 must release energy to be in solid form. Therefore, the change in enthalpy is:

ΔH = -7.4 kcal/nil
