All you do is multiply 16 1/2*15, since it drops ιи 16 1/2 feet every minute then you must add 9 to it because then they gained 9 feet then all you have to do then is take your answer and subtract it fron 240 feet.

Ok in part c 16 1/2*15=97 1/2 but you still need to add the 9 feet so that becomes 106 1/2. Then you must subtract that from 240 so that then becomes 133 1/2 so the elevation is 133 1/2 Feet

In part D. The equation should be

240-(16 1/2*15)+9(+150)=283 1/2

First Part: Overall change in altitude: -88.5ft

Part C: 151.5ft

Part D: E= 240-(6.5×15)+9
.
.
.

Part ? because:
6.5×15= 97.5 We know that decreases. So it would be, -97.5, next it says it increases by 9ft. So -97.5+9=-88.5ft

Part C becuase: The original elevation is 240, and the elevation is subtracted by 88.5, so...
240-88.5=151.5ft

Distance traveled varies jointly as rate and time. If Fred travels 135 miles in 3 hours at a rate of 45 mi/hr, find the rate at
Rudiy27

From the relation, d is joint proportionaly with r and t.
Thus,d = krt.

Using the first set of given, we could calculate for k.135 = k(45)(3)k = 1

Using the computed value of k.d = krtr = d/ktr = (189)/(1)(3.5) = 54 mph.

The amount A of the radioactive element radium in a sample decays at a rate proportional to the amount of radium present. Given
slavikrds [6]

Answer:

a) \frac{dm}{dt} = -k\cdot m, b) m(t) = m_{o}\cdot e^{-\frac{t}{\tau} }, c) m(t) = 10\cdot e^{-\frac{t}{2438.155} }, d) m(300) \approx 8.842\,g

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Let assume an initial mass m decaying at a constant rate k throughout time, the differential equation is:

\frac{dm}{dt} = -k\cdot m

b) The general solution is found after separating variables and integrating each sides:

m(t) = m_{o}\cdot e^{-\frac{t}{\tau} }

Where \tau is the time constant and k = \frac{1}{\tau}

c) The time constant is:

\tau = \frac{1690\,yr}{\ln 2}

\tau = 2438.155\,yr

The particular solution of the differential equation is:

m(t) = 10\cdot e^{-\frac{t}{2438.155} }

d) The amount of radium after 300 years is:

m(300) \approx 8.842\,g

Albert wants to buy two pomegranates and some peaches
m_a_m_a [10]

1.19p+3.18≤10.00 can be used to determine the pounds of peaches Albert can buy.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Cost of one pomegranate = $1.59

Cost of two pomegranate = 1.59*2 = $3.18

Cost of peaches per pound = $1.19

Cost of p pounds of peaches = 1.19p

Total amount of spent = $10.00

Cost of p pounds of peaches + Cost of two pomegranates ≤ Total to spend

1.19p+3.18\leq 10.00

1.19p+3.18≤10.00 can be used to determine the pounds of peaches Albert can buy.
