Answer:

(2) Single-celled organisms carry out life functions that are essential for survival.

Explanation:

Unicellular organisms are those organisms which are composed of only one cell. Examples of unicellular organisms are Amoeba, Paramecium and Euglena. These also called single-celled organisms. Unicellular organisms may have eukaryotic cell or prokaryotic cell. In the question, the diagram is of a eukaryotic cell. Since a cell is the structural and functional unit of life, the unicellular organisms perform life processes or life functions such as feeding, digestion, respiration and excretion carried out in one cell for their survival.

Give an example of two types of cells that never go through cell division once fully formed.
AnnyKZ [126]

Answer:

The two types of cells that never go through cell division once fully formed are nerve cells and muscle cells.

Explanation:

The nerve cells and the muscle cells not undergo cell division after formation, because they can never re grow or cannot be repaired once they are mature. We should take good care of it once they are matured. They just under division from being baby to teenagers after that they stop undergoing cell division. This is true for both elephants as well as human beings. This thing is also applicable in case of bones.

This confused me.
KonstantinChe [14]
The answer is A, denature.

As each type of enzymes has its own optimum temperature, like the temperature that they work fastest at, so if the temperature goes too high above the optimum, the 3D structure of the enzyme breaks apart and deforms and they can no longer bind with substrates thus no longer works. In this scenario, we say the enzyme is denatured.

Note that only if the temperature is too high can make the enzyme denature, if the temperature is too low, instead, the enzyme would be inactive, but once the temperature goes back to normal, they work again. Unlike denatured enzymes, which does not work even if the temperature goes back to normal.
