Recall that with inscribed angles, they equal half of the arc they create.

Knowing this, take a look at Angle B. Notice that it's two lines are on the diameter? This means that the arc created is 180 degrees. Because it's an inscribed angle, we know that it's 90 degrees.

Also recall that the sum of all angles in a triangle equal 180 degrees.

Knowing this, we can add up all the angles:
(2x + 2) + 9x + 90 = 180

Simplify:
11x + 92 = 180

Subtract:
11x = 88

Divide:
x = 8

Now that we know the value of x is 8, we can input that into the equation of angle 1 in order to solve the question:
2x + 2 = 2(8) + 2

2(8) + 2 = 16 + 2 = 18

Angle 1 is 18 degrees.

-8 -8x + 10 + 6x = 19
hram777 [196]

Answer:

x = -8.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's rearrange the question to find x :)

-8x + 6x + 10 - 8 = 19

-2x + 2 = 19

-2             -2

-2x = 17

/-2      /-2

x = -8.5

Suppose you are driving 60 miles per hour. what is your rate of speed in miles per minute?
Verdich [7]

So if it is 60 miles per hour it is basically 60 miles per 60 minutes. \frac{60}{60} when you simplify it, it is going to be 1/1=1 The answer is 1 mile per minute

Mark and Trisha are traveling in the same direction and Mark is going 16 miles per hour. Trisha is going 12 miles per hour but s
Lorico [155]

Answer:

32 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

Let the total distance be x miles

Marks speed= 16miles per hour

Trisha's speed= 12 miles per hour

Trisha has covered 8 miles and has  (x-8) miles to finish line

We know that

Speed= distance/time

time= distance/speed

Hence the time taken for Mark to finish is

time= x/16---------------1

The time taken for Trisha to finish is

time= (x-8)/12-----------2

equate 1 and 2 above

x/16= (x-8)/12

cross multiply

16(x-8)= 12*x

16x-128= 12x

collect like terms

16x-12x= 128

4x=128

x= 128/4

x= 32 miles

Hence they will meet at exactly 32 miles along the way
