The Korean and Vietnam Wars are important examples of military intervention by the Americans in the name of stopping communist expansionism. Germany, Italy, and Japan had settled an alliance were they would not get into each other's way when expanding territory. The main reason why the axis powers were able to gain control of a large part of Europe was due to the League of Nations feeding Germany trying to keep peace and stop them without causing a war, sadly failing while in the process.
