A basketball court is in a rectangular shape and the perimeter for a rectangle is the addition of each one of its sides or P= 2W + 2L (L= length & W= width).

P=90

L = 2w+6

With the information provided your have to formulate the equation:

90=2W+2(2W+6)

Then solve for W:

First distribute the 2

90=2W + 4W + 12

Combine common factors

90 = 6W + 12

Subtract 12 from both sides

78 = 6W

Divide 6 on both sides

W=13

Now that you have your width, you can plug it into the equation to find the length (L=2W+6)

2(13) +6 =L

26 + 6 = L

32 = L

You can always double check by making sure that the totals equal 90 for the perimeter

32+32+13+13=90

2(32) + 2(13) =90

zmey [24]
Ur asking for slope intercept form, but ur answer choices are in point slope form....so I am gonna find the answer in point slope form.

y - y1 = m(x - x1)
slope(m) = 2/3
(5,-3)....x1 = 5 and y1 = -3
now we sub...but pay very close attention to ur signs
y - (-3) = 2/3(x - 5) =
y + 3 = 2/3(x - 5) <=== ur answer in point slope form

Solve the following proportion for x 3/8 =x/13
zhenek [66]

The value of x in the proportion is x = 39/8

How to solve the proportion?

The proportion is given as:

3/8 =x/13

Cross multiply

8 * x = 3 * 13

Evaluate

8x = 39

Divide by 8

x = 39/8

Hence, the value of x in the proportion is x = 39/8

Which of the following trigonometric inequalities has no solution over the interval 0 ≤ x ≤ 2pi radians?
valentinak56 [21]

Answer:

A .cos(x)<1

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the first inequality

cos(x)<1

x < arccos 1

x<0

This therefore does not have a solution within the range 0 ≤ x ≤ 2pi

x cannot be leas than 0. According to the range not value, 0≤x which is equivalent to x≥0. Thus means otvis either x = 0 or x> 0.

For the second option

.cos(x/2)<1

x/2< arccos1

x/2<0

x<0

This inequality also has solution within the range 0 ≤ x ≤ 2pi since 0 falls within the range of values.

For the inequality csc(x)<1

1/sin(x) < 1

1< sin(x)

sinx>1

x>arcsin1

x>90°

x>π/2

This inequality also has solution within the range 0 ≤ x ≤ 2pi since π/2 falls within the range of values

For the inequality csc(x/2)<1

1/sin(x/2) < 1

1< sin(x/2)

sin(x/2)> 1

x/2 > arcsin1

X/2 > 90°

x>180°

x>π

This value of x also has a solution within the range.

Therefore option A is the only inequality that does not have a solution with the range.

Use the multiplier method to increase 88 pounds by 14% you must show your working
Komok [63]

Answer:

100.32

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we have to find 14% of 88

14% of 88 is = 88 x 14/100

                  = 12.32

Now we have to increase the number 88 by 14%, which means we have to add 14% of 88 (12.32) to the given number (88)

88 + (14% of 88)

= 88 + 12.32

=100.32 pounds
