Mathematics

We can answer that in several ways.

If 52 is the 100%, then 520 is ten times that, which is 10*100%, therefore, 520 is 1000% of 52

We also can use a rule of three, simple, direct proportion to solve it:
52  ------> 100%
520 -----> x

x = (520)(100)/52
x = 1000
therefore 520 is the 1000% of 52

That would be ,10%. Work : 52/520 = .1 which in percent form is 10%.

Algebra I

Simple Interest Rate Formula: \displaystyle A = P(1 + rt)

  • P is principle amount
  • r is rate
  • t is time

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Define

Identify variables

P = 100

r = 4% = 0.04

t = 10

Step 2: Find Interest

  1. Substitute in variables [Simple Interest Rate Formula]:                                 A = 100(1 + 0.04 · 10)
  2. (Parenthesis) Multiply:                                                                                      A = 100(1 + 0.4)
  3. (Parenthesis) Add:                                                                                            A = 100(1.4)
  4. Multiply:                                                                                                             A = 140

14. the length of the arc is found by using the formula 2*PI*r*angle/360
  the circle has a radius of 2 and the known angle is 90 degrees
so you now have: 2 * pi * 2 * 90/360, since the answer needs to be in terms of PI, remove pi from the equation for now:
2*2 *90/*360 = 1
the arc length = 1PI, or just PI

16. the area of the parallelogram is L x W :  9 *6 = 54
     the area of the circle is: PI *r^2 = pi * 3^2 = 28.26
area of shaded region is subtracting the area of the circle from the parallelogram: 54 - 28.26 = 25.74 square inches
