The process that is characterized by the movement of particles from the area of high concentration to the area of low concentration across the plasma membrane without the use of energy is called PASSIVE TRANSPORT.
When it comes to movement of particles into cells, there are two basic types of transportation, these are active and passive transport. The active transport system needs energy in form of ATP to move the particles across the cell membranes while the passive transport system does not require energy. The rate at which active transport occur usually depend on the permeability of the cell membrane. There are four examples of passive transport, these are: simple diffusion, facilitated diffusion, osmosis and filteration.

The correct answer is option C. The passive transport is a process which is characterized by the movement of particles from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration across the plasma membrane without the use of energy because, its particle move by themselves due to entropy. Whereas, active transport requires energy to move form low concentration to higher concentration..

Two eukaryotic proteins were found to be very similar except for one domain that was very different. Which of the following proc
Otrada [13]

"The differences in pre-mRNA splicing that results in an altered pattern of exon inclusion" is most likely to have contributed to this phenomenon.

Option: C

Explanation:

The expression of the eukaryotic gene requires several stages and can be regulated by several of them. Different genes are controlled at different locations and it is not unusual for a gene to be controlled at multiple steps, especially a significant or powerful one.

 • In accessibility of Chromatin the chromatin structure includes DNA and can be regulated by its assembling proteins. More free or 'relaxed' chromatin allows a gene more transcriptible.
 • For many genes transcription is a key regulatory point. Its factor protein sets bind to unique DNA sequences within or near to a gene and encourage or suppress its transcription into an RNA.
 • It is possible to control the splicing, capping, and attaching a poly-A tail to an RNA molecule, and thus exit the nucleus. Specific mRNAs might be produced by alternative splicing from the same pre-mRNA.
