A function  is a set of ordered pairs where a x-value is paired with only one y-value.

As long if the x-value (1) is sharing only one y-value then it makes it a function.

If employment is expected to increase by 14.8% between 01/2009 and 01/2016 and the employees number 19, 100 in 01/2009, how many
AlexFokin [52]

Based on the rate of increase, the number of employees that will be there in 2016 is<u> 21,927 people.</u>

<h3>Number of employees in 2016</h3>

This can be calculated by the formula:

= Employees in 2009 x ( 1 + rate of increase)

Solving gives

= 19,100 x (1 + 14.8%)

= 21,926.8

= 21,927 people

In conclusion, there will be 21,927 people in 2016.
