All you have to do is find the largest number that you can divide evenly between the 2 set of numbers.

In this case it would be 3 and the largest exponential terms that you can take out without causing the exponents to become negative would be x^2 and y^1.

If DE=4x+10, EF=2x-1, and DF=9x-15, find DF. * Captionless Image
liq [111]
Answer: 63

Hopefully the work makes sense but basically you will add equation DE and EF to get 6x+11 then use that equation with DF and solve for x which will get 26/3 then plug it into DF to get 63

dem82 [27]

Years of decay...

It takes around 4 years for something to go through their half life (depending on the thing). This chart is showing the years go by (half lives that occur within the years) while the decaying is happening.

An ice cream cone has a diameter of 14.8 cm and a slant height of 10 cm. Find the lateral surface area of the cone. Use 3.14 for
sattari [20]

Answer:

Note that surface is a triangle of base 3.14 * 14.8 = 46.6 cm

B / 2 = 23.2 cm     1/2 base

the height of triangle = 10 cm

A = 23.2 * 10 = 232 cm     the area of the surface

Area formulas provides

A = Π r (r^2 + h^2)^1/2 which is the same as above

The quantity in brackets is just the slant height of 10 cm
