Use the slope formula: m- (y2 - y1) (x2 - x1). do NOT multiply them. just subtract inside the (). m= (10 - 8)(5 - 5) m now equals: (2,0) that is your slope.

Your slope will be 0 because you will take one y value minus the other and get 2 --> 10-8=2. Then you will take the x-values in and subtract them in the same orders as the y-values and get 0 --> 5-5=0. Slope is rise (y) over run (x) so your slope would usually be your y/x but your slope can not be 2/0 because 2 parts of nothing is nothing so your slope will end up being 0.

Find the lengt of side c ofa triangle. If sides ais 1 and side bis 20?
OLEGan [10]
The pyhtagorean states that to find c, use the eqaution, c^2=a^2+b^2.
Substitute 1 for a and 20 for b;
c^2=1+400
c^2=401
c=\sqrt{401
which is about 20.02
Hope this helps.

The lengths of the legs of a right triangle are 4 cm and 6 cm. If the triangle is rotated about one of its legs to create a righ
Assoli18 [71]
If you rotate about the leg of length 4 then the radius of the base of the cone is 6 and the height is 4.
Volume of a cone is V=1/3*pi*r^2*h
V=1/3*pi*6^2*4
=1/3*pi*36*4
=pi*48
=150.8 cm^3

To make sure that is the greatest volume we can figure the other cone.
If you rotate around the leg of length 6 your radius will be 4 and your height will be 6.
V=1/3*pi*4^2*6
V=100.5 cm^3
