Answer:

Layer A is the thermosphere. In the thermosphere, atoms of nitrogen and oxygen absorb solar radiation (sunlight), which is converted to heat. The temperature of the thermosphere is incredibly high due to the radiation absorbed by each molecule. However, because the molecules that make up the thermosphere are so spread out, heat is not easily transferred from molecule to molecule. Therefore, there is not much heat retained in the thermosphere.

In photosynthesis, plants convert what type of energy into what other type of energy? please help
Nana76 [90]

Answer:

Photosynthesis, the process by which green plants and certain other organisms transform light energy into chemical energy. During photosynthesis in green plants, light energy is captured and used to convert water, carbon dioxide, and minerals into oxygen and energy-rich organic compounds.

Which method reduces carbon dioxide emissions by storing carbon dioxide for a long time?
Rudiy27

B. carbon sequestration

Explanation:

Carbon sequestration is a method that reduces carbon dioxide emissions by storing them for a long time.

  • It is long term harvesting or sequestering of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere in order to avert air pollution and climatic change problems.
  • Carbon sequestration is usually employed in the storage and capture of atmospheric carbon dioxide.
  • The carbon dioxide can be sequestered using biologic or geologic means.
  • Carbon dioxide gas is used to enhance oil recovery from geologic formations that have low permeability or those with low formation pressure to push out the oil.

The rate law for the reaction 2A + B →C is –rA= kACA2CBwithkA= 25 (L/mol)2sec. What arekBandkC?
givi [52]

Explanation:

The given reaction equation is as follows.

             2A + B \rightarrow C

So, rate constants for different reactants and products written as follows.

             \frac{-k_{A}}{\text{stoichiometric coefficient of A}} = \frac{-k_{B}}{\text{stoichiometric coefficient of B}} = \frac{k_{C}}{\text{stoichiometric coefficient of C}}

As per the reaction equation, the stoichiometric coefficients of reactants and products are as follows.

         A = -2

         B = -1

         C = 1

Therefore,

      \frac{-k_{A}}{\text{stoichiometric coefficient of A}} = \frac{-k_{B}}{\text{stoichiometric coefficient of B}} = \frac{k_{C}}{\text{stoichiometric coefficient of C}}

      \frac{-k_{A}}{-2} = \frac{-k_{B}}{-1} = \frac{k_{C}}{1}

             \frac{-k_{A}}{-2} = k_{B} = k_{C}

Hence,          k_{B} = k_{C} = \frac{25}{2} (L/mol)^{2}

                                          = 12.5 (L/mol)^{2}

Thus, we can conclude that k_{B} and k_{C} are 12.5 (L/mol)^{2}.
