I believe the answer is: the way of the people in which they apply the constitution in regards of the context that focuses on today’s or the modern’s world way of thinking.


For example, the early draft of the constitution the specific wording that used to guarantee liberty is "All Men are created equal"

In modern world way of thinking, this wording seem to have not include women in the equation and need to be revised.
