Y = 260 + 100 x = 100 x + 260
This is a linear equation in a slope- intercept form:
y = m x + b,  where m is the slope:
m = 100
It represents a per second fee for the commercial.

How many solutions does this equation have?<br><br> 8 − 6s = –7s
Valentin [98]

Answer:

One solution

Step-by-step explanation:

8-6s = -7s (given)

8=-s

s=-8

∴ There is only one solution to this equation since s can only equal to -8 to satisfy the equation.

Hope this helps :)

Got a calc 1 question,
belka [17]

v=\dfrac h{3x}\implies\dfrac{\mathrm dv}{\mathrm dt}=\dfrac{3x\frac{\mathrm dh}{\mathrm dt}-3h\frac{\mathrm dx}{\mathrm dt}}{3x^2}

By the chain rule,

\dfrac{\mathrm dh}{\mathrm dt}=\dfrac{\mathrm dh}{\mathrm dx}\dfrac{\mathrm dx}{\mathrm dt}

We have

h(x)=4e^{2x-6}-x^2+5\implies\dfrac{\mathrm dh}{\mathrm dx}=8e^{2x-6}-2x

and we're given that x changes at a constant rate of \frac{\mathrm dx}{\mathrm dt}=0.2 thousand people per minute, which means

\dfrac{\mathrm dv}{\mathrm dt}=\dfrac{3x\left(8e^{2x-6}-2x\right)\left(0.2\frac{\text{thousand people}}{\rm min}\right)-3h\left(0.2\frac{\text{thousand people}}{\rm min}\right)}{3x^2}

At the moment x=4 thousand people are in the park, we have h(4)=4e^2-11, so we find

\dfrac{\mathrm dv}{\mathrm dt}=\dfrac{12\left(8e^2-8\right)-3(4e^2-11)}{240}\dfrac{\text{thousand people}}{\rm min}=\dfrac{7(4e^2-3)}{80}\dfrac{\text{thousand people}}{\rm min}

or approximately 2.324 thousand people per minute.

A gas cylinder contains 1.00 mol He, 1.90 mol Ne, and 1.10 mol Ar. If the total pressure in the cylinder is 2250 mmHg, what is t
Tcecarenko [31]

Answer:

P_he = 562.5 mmHg

P_ne = 1068.75 mmHg

P_ar = 618.75 mmHg

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula for partial pressure is;

Partial pressure = mole fraction × total pressure

Mole fraction of Helium(He); x_he= 1/(1 + 1.9 + 1.1) = 1/4 = 0.25

Mole fraction of Neon(Ne); x_ne = 1.9/(1 + 1.9 + 1.1) = 1.9/4 = 0.475

Mole fraction of argon; x_ar = 1.1/(1 + 1.9 + 1.1) = 1.1/4 = 0.275

Thus;

Partial pressure of He;

P_he = 0.25 × 2250

P_he = 562.5 mmHg

Partial pressure of Ne;

P_ne = 0.475 × 2250

P_ne = 1068.75 mmHg

Partial pressure of Ar;

P_ar = 0.275 × 2250

P_ar = 618.75 mmHg
