List the procedural steps, from start to finish, that are required to convert 2‑naphthol and allyl bromide into allyl 2‑naphthyl
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Procedural steps are: -

 1. On a small scale, the reaction is carried out by combining the alcohol, the haloalkane, and the phase transfer catalyst in a conical vial.
 2. To start the reaction, sodium hydoxide (base) is added.
 3. To prevent solvent evaporation, the reaction flask is covered and stirred during the reaction.
 4. TLC monitors the reaction's progress to ensure that no time is wasted.
 5. To remove any remaining water, the reaction solution is dried over calcium chloride.
 6. Column chromatography is used to purify the product, and evaporation is used to collect it.

What is the oxidation state of each element in k2cr2o7?
Stells [14]
To begin this, you'll first note down the valencies of atoms you're sure about.

K is always 1+
And O is always 2-, except for in peroxide where it is 1-.

So now you must remember that a compound is always neutral. Your net charge has to be 0.

K2Cr2O7.

K2 (1+ x 2) = 2+
Cr (2x) = 2x
O7 (2- ×7) = 14-

+2 +2x + (-14) = 0
•Simple algebra.
2x -12 = 0
2x = 12
x = +6.

Each Cr atom has an oxidation number of +6.

How do you explode stuff
Svetradugi [14.3K]
Well. Depends.
You plan on doing a school project?
You should try baking soda and vinegar, almost everyone knows about this.
Orr you can use mentos and soda.
Or for fun, just get a watermelon or any fruit and use rubber bands all around it until it goes BOOM!

Hope this helps :D
