Answer:

y=0.05x

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

x                    Cost, y

150               $7.50

220              $11.00

250              $12.50

275              $13.75

To Find: If the cost varies directly with the number of minutes Jalen talks on the phone, which equation represents the variation?

Solution:

To find equation we will use two point slope form.

y-y_1=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}(x-x_1)

(x_1,y_1)=(150,7.50)

(x_2,y_2)=(220,11.00)

Substitute the values in the formula.

y-7.50=\frac{11-7.5}{220-150}(x-150)

y-7.50=0.05(x-150)

y-7.50=0.05x-7.50

y=0.05x

Hence the equation which represents the variation is   y=0.05x

How can you use distributive property when factoring?
Crazy boy [7]
We can think of factoring as the opposite of the distributive property. If we take ax+bx, we just factor to get x(a+b) - it's the same thing. If you think of it like that, it provides great insight and a thoughtful memory strategy. Hope this helps!

Can someone help me please? <br> I’ll give you brainliest ^^
Advocard [28]

The sample space that represents all possible buses and boats combinations is given by:

{(D,1), (D,2), (D,3), (E,1), (E,2), (E,3), (F,1), (F,2), (F,3)}.

<h3>What is the sample space of an experiment?</h3>

The sample space is the <u>set that contains all possible outcomes for an experiment</u>.

In this problem, for each the bus and the boat, there are 3 outcomes, hence the cardinality of the sample space is given by:

3 x 3 = 9.

Considering that one letter from D, E and F, and one number for 1, 2 and 3 are chosen, the sample space is given by:

{(D,1), (D,2), (D,3), (E,1), (E,2), (E,3), (F,1), (F,2), (F,3)}.

What is the zero of the function
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

x=6 (or 6)

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Set f(x)=0:</u>

f(x)=\frac{x^2+x-42}{x^2+3x-28}

0=\frac{x^2+x-42}{x^2+3x-28}

0=x^2+x-42

0=(x+7)(x-6)

x=-7 or x=6

<u>Now check both solutions:</u>

f(-7)=\frac{(-7)^2+(-7)-42}{(-7)^2+3(-7)-28}

f(-7)=\frac{49-7-42}{49-21-28}

f(-7)=\frac{42-42}{28-28}

f(-7)=\frac{0}{0}

Therefore, x\neq-7 because there is a hole at (-7,0). The denominator, in addition, can never be 0, so the function is undefined for x=-7.

f(6)=\frac{(6)^2+(6)-42}{(6)^2+3(6)-28}

f(6)=\frac{36+6-42}{36+18-28}

f(6)=\frac{42-42}{54-28}

f(6)=\frac{0}{24}

f(6)=0

Since f(6)=0, then x=6 is the only zero of the function.
