1/2 is the slope. Since it’s 1/2x -2, I’m pretty sure it’s negative 2 as your y intercept. So as you do rise/run. You plot -2, and then from that point go up one and over 2. And from that point go up one and over 2. Repeat and if necessary get your slope.. I hope this helped I did this in the beginning of 8th grade.
