Solve each proportion 7/2 = 3/n
gregori [183]

Cross-Multiply

7/2=3/n

7*n=(3)*(2)

7n=6

Divide both sides by 7

7n/7=6/7

n=6/7 or n= 0.85

I hope that's help again !

The mean for average temperature in Buffalo ,New york , is 47.5°. The temperture fluctuates 23.5° above and below the mean tempe
Nata [24]
1) According to the statement, the Temperature will be modeled with a sine function.

2) a genaral sin function is of the type: <span>Asin(mt + p) + M</span>

where:

t is the variable

A is the amplitud: the fluction fluctuate +/- A units over the mean value. A = 23.5°

M is the mean value. M = 47.5°

m is the frequency, which we need to be 2π/12 (the complete cycle is 12 months) = m = π/6

p is the phase shift, which is 4. p = 4

Then:

a) the model or function is T(t) = 47.5° + 23.5* sin [ (π/6) t + 4]

b) T in march => t = 3

T(3) = 47.5° + 23.5° sin [ (π/6)*3 + 4] = 32.1 °

c) T in august => t = 8

T(8) = 47.5° + 23.5° sin [ (π/6)*8 + 4] = 69.7 °

What is the system of equations?

A system of equations, also known as an equation system or a set of simultaneous equations, is a finite set of equations for which common solutions are sought.

Here, we

Let

x = the number of adult tickets sold

y = the number of senior tickets sold

483 people paid admission => a total of 483 tickets were sold and

x + y = 483

the total receipts were $7548

24x + 12y = 7548

by solving the system of equations

x + y = 483....(1)

24x + 12y = 7548....(2)

From equation (1), we get

x = 483-y....(3)

Now, we put the value of x in equation (2) and we get

24(483 - y) +12y = 7548

11592 - 24y + 12y = 7548

12y = 4044

y = 337

Now, we put the value of y in equation (1) and we get

x = 483 - 337

x = 146

Hence, 337 were senior citizens.
