For a 7*7=49 so sqrt(49)=7
6*6=36 so sqrt(36)=6

and since sqrt(x) is am increasing function then
6 < sqrt(42) <7

you do the same for b but with 4 values :
like 4*4*4= 64
and 3*3*3=27

Nitella [24]

Given :

A computer performs a calculation in 2.5\times 10^{-5} seconds to solve a maths problem.

To Find :

How long does the computer need to calculate the solutions to 3\times 10^6 maths problems.

Solution :

Time taken to perform 1 calculation is 2.5\times 10^{-5}.

t=2.5\times 10^{-5}\ s

So, time taken to perform 3\times 10^6 calculations.

T = t\times( 3\times 10^6)\\\\T = 2.5\times 10^{-5}\times 3\times 10^6\\\\T = 75\ seconds

Hence, this is the required solution.
