Look at the picture.

The area of the trapezoid:

A_T=\dfrac{1}{2}(15+7+5)\cdot4=27\cdot2=54\ in^2

The area of the rectangle:

A_R=5\cdot6=30\ in^2

The area of figure:

A=A_T+A_R\to A=54+30=84\ in^2

The normal distribution curve for the problem is shown below

We need to standardise the value X=405.5 by using the formula

z-score= \frac{X-Mean}{Standard Deviation}
z-score= \frac{405.5-402.7}{8.8} =0.32

We now need to find the probability of z=0.32 by reading the z-table

Note that z-table would give the reading to the left of z-score, so if your aim is to work out the area to the right of a z-score, then you'd need to do:

P(Z\ \textgreater \ z)=1 - P(Z\ \textless \ z)

from  the z-table, the reading P(Z\ \textless \ 0.32) gives 0.6255

hence,
P(Z\ \textgreater \ 0.32)=1-0.6255=0.3475

The probability that the mean weight for a sample of 40 trout exceeds 405.5 gram is 0.3475 = 34.75%

Find the perimeter of this figure. Please show work.
Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

  40.56 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter is the sum of the lengths of the "sides" of this figure. Starting from the left side and working clockwise, the sum is ...

  P = left side (8 ft) + top side (10 ft) + semicircle (1/2×8 ft×π) + bottom side (10 ft)

  = 28 ft + 4π ft

  = (28 +12.56) ft

  P = 40.56 ft

One of the rows in the table has an error and does not have the same ratio as the other rows. Which explains how to correct the
hram777 [196]
<span>Row 1 3 ft  91.44 cm
The ratio is 91.44 cm/ 3 ft = 30.48 cm/ft

</span><span>Row 2 6 ft 172.88 cm
The ratio is 172.88 cm / 6 ft = 28.81 cm/ft which ius not the same as 30.48 cm/ft.

</span><span>Row 3 7 ft 213.36 cm
</span>
<span>The ratio is 213.36 cm/ 7 ft = 30.48 cm/ft, which is the same as the first ratio.

Since 2 rows have the ratio 30.48 cm/ft, this ratio is correct. The ratio 172.88 cm / 6 ft is incorrect.

6 ft * 30.48 cm/ft = 182.88 cm

Answer: </span>
<span>B.Row 2 should show 6 feet is equivalent to 182.88 centimeters.</span>

Law Incorporation [45]

Answer:

The money that Aura has is $17

The money that Brain has is $23

The money that Eric has is $46  .

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of total money does Aura , Brain , Eric have = $86

The money that Eric has = 2 times money that Brain has

The money that Aura has = $6 less than that Brain has

Let The money that Aura has = $A

Let The money that Brain has = $B

Let The money that Eric has = $E

Now, According to question

∵ Sum of total money does Aura , Brain , Eric have = $86

So, $A + $B + $E = $86

Or, A + B + E = 86           .........1

Again

E = 2 × B                           ..........2

Again

A = B - 6                            ..........3

So, (B - 6) + B + 2 B = 86

Or, (B + B + 2 B) = 86 + 6

Or, 4 B = 92

∴   B = \dfrac{92}{4}

i.e B = 23

So,The money that Brain has = B = $23

Putting the value of B in eq 2

∵  E = 2 × B

So, E = 2 × 23

Or, E = 46

So,The money that Eric has = E = $46

Putting the value of B in eq 3

∵ A = B - 6

So, A = 23 - 6

Or, A = 17

So,The money that Aura has = A = $17

Hence, The money that Aura has is $17

The money that Brain has is $23

The money that Eric has is $46  . Answer
