In ancient Egypt, the peasants were the lowest level of the social hierarchy. They were the majority of the population, they did many kinds of works such as farmers, construction workers, and unskilled laborers, the last ones helped to build many monuments like the pyramids.
The Egyptian society depended on the peasants because they were the majority and also did the hard works, as we all know Egyptians are famous for their crops plantations, peasants were the ones who were responsible for them.
