Answer:

The consumption of pizza falls down by 15.5%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Stephanos spends all of his $500 allowance on slices of pizza and gas for his pickup truck.  He spends eighty percent of this on pizza and the rest on gas. Because of a shortage of gas, the price of gas increases by 40%. This makes his consumption of gas (measured in gallons) fall by 40%.

To find : What is the percentage change in his consumption of pizza ?

Solution :

He spends eighty percent of this on pizza and the rest on gas.

i.e. \frac{80}{100}\times 500=400

He spends $400 on pizza

He spends 500-400=$100 on gas

Let the price of pizza be 'P_p' and price of gas is 'P_g'.

Let Amount of pizza consumed be A_p and amount of gas be A_g

So, P_p\times X_p=400 ...(1)

P_g\times X_g=100  .....(2)

Because of a shortage of gas, the price of gas increases by 40%.

The price of gas is now 140% of what it was earlier.

New price = \frac{140}{100}P_g

Price increase makes his consumption of gas (measured in gallons) fall by 20%.

He is consuming 80% of the gas now as compared to the previous amount

Total amount now spent on gas = \frac{140}{100}P_g\times \frac{80}{100}X_g

Total amount now spent on gas = \frac{112}{100}P_gX_g

Total amount now spent on gas = \frac{112}{100}\times 100

Total amount now spent on gas = Rs.112

If he keeps spending all his money on pizza and gas,

His current expenditure on Pizza = Rs. 500 -112 =Rs.388

Let P_pX^1_p=338

Total percentage change in expenditure of pizza is given by,

C=\frac{(P_pX^1_p - P_p X_p)}{P_p X_p}\times 100

C=\frac{X^1_p- X_p}{X_p}\times 100

C=\frac{338-400}{400}\times 100

C=\frac{-62}{400}\times 100

C=-15.5\%

Therefore the consumption of pizza falls down by 15.5%.

I believe the answer that you are looking for is (1,4) although I cannot see the full graph, so I do not know. If you start a point R and move 4 units to the left and 3 units up, you come to the point: (1,4).

Identify the values of the variables. Give your answers in simplest radical form. PLEASE HELP!!
Lerok [7]

Answer:

2 sqrt(3) = n

k = 4 sqrt(3)

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that cos 30 = adjacent/ hypotenuse

cos 30 = 6 /k

Multiply each side by k

k cos 30 = 6k * k

k cos 30 = 6

Divide each side by cos 30

k cos 30/ cos 30 = 6/ cos 30

k = 6 / cos 30

k = 6/ (sqrt(3)/2)

k =12 / sqrt(3)

We cannot leave the sqrt in the denominator

k = 12 / sqrt(3) * sqrt(3)/sqrt(3)

k = 12 sqrt(3)/3

k = 4 sqrt(3)

We know tan 30 = opposite/adjacent

                tan 30 = n/6

Multiply each side by 6

                  6 tan 30 = n

                  6 * (sqrt(3)/3) = n

                   6/3 * sqrt(3) = n

                    2 sqrt(3) = n

A circle has an area between 100-150 square inches,what are some possible lengths for a diameter of this circle
Ulleksa [173]

Answer:

it would range between 11.28379... to 13.819765...

Step-by-step explanation:

the circle's area formula is pi * radius^2

so you make to equation, plugging the 100 and 150 into the circle's area

you get square root of (100/pi) which gets 11.28379... for the area of 100

you do the same with 150 to get square root of (150/pi) which gets 13.819765...

those are the diameter of the circle since the diameter is double the radius which i already multiplied afterwards. so if you need the radius divide the number ive given you

MAVERICK [17]

Answer:

Mean is 9.875

You can get this by adding all of the weights up and dividing it by the number of cats.

Median is 10.5

Organize the numbers in order.

5,6,7,10,11,12,14,15

Cross numbers off till you get to the middle.

You are left with 10 and 11.

Add the two.

Then divide by two to get your answer.
