We know the area of the middle rectangle is 48 (length * width). removing that rectangle leaves us with two semicircles. you can combine those semicircles to be the equivalent of one circle. the area for a circle is r^2 * pi. we know the diameter is 4 because that is where we cut the semicircles. radius is half the diameter, so r is 2. 2^2 is 4, 4* pi is 12.56. add 12.56 (area of semicircles) with 48 (area of rectangle) and we get 60.56

CORRECT AND FIRST ANSWER GETS BRAINLIEST!!
ratelena [41]
Make a line down the other side of the E so it becomes a rectangle, find the area of the big rectangle (12•10=120 inches) then find the smaller rectangles (7•5=35 inches) since there’s two small rectangles w the same measurements the area is the same(35+35= 70 inches) , Now u wanna subtract the area of the two small rectangles ( 70-120=50 inches) the Area of the E is 50 inches

Hope I explain it okay and it helps you!

Answer:

The option "C" is correct

#in my opinion#

Step-by-step explanation:

The size of a screen is generally measured diagonally.

Thus to find the diagonal length,

we take help from Pythagoras theorem

i.e. \\  {h}^{2}  =  {b}^{2}  +  {p}^{2}

where h (hypotenuse) is the diagonal length, b (base) is the length of horizontal side, and p (perpendicular) is the length of the vertical side of the TV,

THUS the diagonal length or hypotenuse

h =  \sqrt{ {b}^{2} +  {p}^{2}  } \\  \:  =  \sqrt{1024 + 324}  \\  \:  =  \sqrt{1348}  \\  \:  = 36.7 \:  (= aprox \: 37)
