olchik [2.2K]
Okay so i am no math genius but i did it like this, 30 strawberries and 50 grapes would be 80 fruits. say all 5 people got an equal amount so 80/5=16. so 16 pieces would be 8 each so 8 strawberries(sb) and 8 grapes(g). sb= 6 calories and g=3 calories. 48 calories for sb and 24 for g. 72 calories each. unless i did this totally wrong

Bas_tet [7]
Given:

Current revenue = $6000

R(f)= -100f^2 + 400f + 6000
where f is a whole number of $5 fee increases

We are told to find f, when R(f) < 6000

Since R(f)= -100f^2+400f+6000

R(f) < 6000 ⇒ -100f^2+400f+6000 < 6000

Subtract 6000 from both sides

-100f^2 + 400f + 6000 - 6000 < 6000 - 6000

-100f^2 + 400f < 0

⇒ 400f - 100f^2 < 0

Divide the equation by 100

400f/100 - 100f^2/100 < 0/100

4f - f^2 < 0

Add f^2 to both sides of the equation

4f - f^2 + f^2 < 0 + f^2

4f < f^2

Divide both sides by f

4f/f < (f^2)/f

4 < f

⇒ f > 4

⇒ f ≥ 5

Therefore, for 5 or more numbers of $5 fee increases, the revenue from fees will actually be less than its current value.

paul is diving and is 3.5 feet below sea level. he is descending at a rate of 0.5 feet per minute. if paul is now at 12 feet how
andrezito [222]

Answer:

He has been diving for 17 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets explain how to solve the problem

- Paul is diving and is 3.5 feet below sea level

- He is descending at a rate of 0.5 feet per minute

- Paul is now at 12 feet

∵ His initial position is at 3.5 feet below the sea

∵ He is descending, that means he is moving down

∵ His final position is at 12

∴ He is descending a distance = 12 - 3.5 = 8.5 feet

∵ He is descending at a rate of 0.5 feet per minute

∵ He is descending 8.5 feet

∵ Time = distance ÷ rate

∴ His time of descending = 8.5 ÷ 0.5 = 17 minutes

* He has been diving for 17 minutes
