3x+7=13

move +7 to the other side

sign changes from +7 to -7

3x+7-7= 13-7

3x= 6

divide by 3 for both sides

3x/3= 6/3

x=2

Sketch the graphs. - 2x + 3y = -1
QveST [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

- 2x + 3y = -1 is the equation of a line

Pick any values for x then find y or for y and then find x;

if you have two points you can draw a line trough those two points.

For example,

pick x= -1 then find y

- 2*(-1) + 3y = -1

         2+ 3y = -1

              3y = -1-2

                y= -3/3

                y= -1

First point has the coordinates (-1, -1)

pick y = 1 then find x

- 2x + 3*1  = -1

      -2x +3 = -1

           -2x = -1-3

            -2x = -4

                x= -4/-2

                x= 2

Second point has the coordinate (2, 1)

Draw a line trough the points (-1, -1) and (2,1) to sketch the graph of -2x+3y = -1

The chef has 3636 pounds of strip loin steak. The amount of weight lost from the trim on each pound is 35\%35%, and 75\%75% more
OLEGan [10]

Answer:

The remaining weight of strip loin steak is 5.85 pounds.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that the chef has 36 pounds of strip loin steak. The amount of weight lost from the trim on each pound is 35%, and 75% more of the steak's weight is lost after cooking it.

The weight lost from the trim on each pound is 35%. So, 35% of 36 is

36\times \frac{35}{100}=12.6

The remaining weight after trim is

36-12.6=23.4

The 75% more of the steak's weight is lost after cooking it. So, 75% of remaining weight is

23.4\times \frac{75}{100}=17.55

The remaining weight after cooking is

23.4-17.55=5.85

The remaining weight of strip loin steak is 5.85 pounds.
