A) Coining money - Coining money ensures that all American states are using the same currency and that the government controls the money supply.

D) Making laws- The primary purpose of Congress is to develop federal laws. This is done through a long process in which subcomittes examine issues in America, develop bills, get co-signers, have a vote on the bill, etc.
