A and D have the same measure, let's call that x
C and B have the same measure, let's call that y
That would mean 2x+2y=360
Since C is equal to 4 times A, that means y=4x
2x+2(4x)=360
2x+8x=360
10x=360
x=36
A and D both equal 36 degrees
B and C both equal 36 times 4, or 144 degrees

\angle A=\angle D\\
\angle C=\angle B\\\\
4\angle A=\angle\ C\\\\
\angle A+\angle B+\angle C+\angle D=360\\
\angle A+\angle A+4\angle A+4\angle A=360\\
10\angle A=360\ \ |Divide\ by\ 10\\
\angle A=36^{\circ}\\\\
\angle D=36^{\circ}\\\\
\angle B=144^{\circ}\\\\\angle C=144^{\circ}

This is because 90 is 10 times larger than 9, so if you divide 90 from 7.29, it will be 10 times smaller, so 0.081

Which distance formula shows a direct variation? 1. D=50t 2. D=16t^2 3. D= r×t
VLD [36.1K]
The answer could be choice 1 or 3.

With direct variation, we simply multiply one variable to get the other variable.

In #1, we are multiplying t by 50.

In #3, we are multiplying t by r.

In both cases, t is just be multiplied by a number.

Answer:

A) Professor A failure proportion = 0.12 ; B) Average = 0.1 ; C) σ = 0.055

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Proportion of failures for Prof A : Failure / Total

= 12 / 100 = 0.12

2) Proportion of failures for Prof B : 1/ 100 = 0.01

Proportion of failures for Prof C : 11 / 100 = 0.11

Proportion of failures for Prof D = 16 / 11 = 0.16

Average proportional failure for all instructors :-

[ Prop (prof A) + Prop (prof B) + Prop (prof C) + Prop (prof D) ] / 4

(0.12 + 0.01+ 0.11 + 0.16 ) / 4 = 0.4 / 4 = 0.1

3) Standard Deviation (σ) = √  Σ (x - x')^2 / n , where x' = mean = 0.1

x              x - x'      (x - x')^2

0.12         0.02       0.0004

0.01        -0.09       0.0081

0.11          0.01        0.0001

0.16         0.06       <u>0.0036 </u>

                             <u>Σ = 0.0122</u>

σ = √ 0.0122/ 4 = √0.00305 = 0.055
