This graph is composed of four straight line segments. You'll need to determine the slope, y-intercept and domain for each of them. Look at the first segment, the one on the extreme left. Verify yourself that the slope of this line segment is 1 and that the y-intercept would be 0 if you were to extend this segment all the way to the y-axis. Thus, the rule (formula, equation) for this line segment would be f(x)=1x+0, or just f(x)=x, for (-3,-1). Use a similar approach to write rules for the remaining three line segments.

Present your answer like this:
               x, (-3,-1)
f(x) = -1, (-1,0)

Find the relative rate of change fro each of the following functions. f(x)=x^3 -3x^2
Reika [66]
The rate of change is simply the derivative of a function with respect to the other variable. In this case the rate of change with respect to x is desired. Therefore

f(x) = x^3 - 3x^2
f'(x) = 3x^2 - 6x

therefore the rate of change of y with respect to x is dy/dx = 3x^2 - 6x

Anyone please help me with last two I'll vote brainliest!! :))

Answer:

7. y= x + 12 8. y= -1 + 4x

Step-by-step explanation:

for 7 all you need to do is subtract x from both sides to get y= 12- x, and to make it perpendicular you need to make the current slope it’s exact opposite so in this case that’s just changing the “-” symbol to an “+”.

for 8 you do the same first step you did in 7 and subtract 4x from both sides to get -y= 1 - 4x. Next you divide everything by -1 (because it’s the number in front of the Y) and you get Y= -1 + 4x

What is 350 over 100 in simplest form
snow_lady [41]
Well, its like this:
350/100 would be: 350 divide by 100, then you get: 3.5
So 100 times 3 is 100. so it is:
3 50/100 then it simplafies to:
3 1/2
(3 and one half)

A concrete stepping stone measures 20 inches square. What is the area of 30 such tiles?
ratelena [41]
A single stepping stone as you have said is 20 inches sqaure. This means that it has an area of 20.

All you would need to do then is multiply 20 by 30 to get the area of thirty tiles. The result of this would be 600.

If you mean one side of the stepping stone is 20 inches then you would multiply 20 by 20 to get the area of one, since that would be multiplying length times width (the area formula). The area of one would result in 400 and you would then multiply this by the thirty tiles (400 times 30) to get 12000.
