Judging by the model given you will have five different area solving equations.

The first equation I would work on would be the upper left hand triangle, to solve the area of this section you need to first realize that the equation for finding the area of a triangle is (WxL)÷2.
However, you are missing one side length from the triangle. You can figure out this side length by noticing that the rectangle next to it has one length of 13 and one of 9, so 13-9 would give you the sum of 4, which is the missing side length.
Therefore, the equation would be (9x4)÷2, which if solved should result in 16 square cm.

Next I would work on the 9x8 rectangle next to the previous shape. The equation for this will be 9x8, which would result in 72 being the product.

Following that shape is another triangle, being the same as the previous one should result in the product of 16.

Next I would work on the 9x9 square beneath the 9x8 rectangle. The product of this should result in 81.

Lastly, the 12x9 triangle's product should result in 54.

Now you should add all of these products up!
The sum from this I got was 239.

Hope this helped!

Can someone help me with this?
Mandarinka [93]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of rectangle = length * width

                             = (x + 4) (5x)

                             = x *5x + 4 *5x

                            = 5x² + 20x

Perimeter of rectangle = 2*(length + width)

                                     = 2*(x + 4 + 5x)

                                     = 2*(6x + 4)

                                   = 2*6x + 2 *4

                                     = 12x + 8

A six-sided dice is rolled twice. Find the probability that the larger of the two rolls was equal to 5.
Diano4ka-milaya [45]

The probability that the larger of the two rolls was equal to 5 is; 2/9

Probability of possible outcomes

The total number of possible outcomes when the dice is rolled twice is 36 outcomes.

Now, for the larger of the two rolls to equal 5, the total number of favourable  outcomes are 8 which are;

(1, 5), (2, 5), (3, 5), (4, 5), (5, 1), (5, 2), (5, 3), (5,4)

Thus, probability that the larger of the two rolls was equal to 5 is;

P(larger of 2 rolls equals 5) = 8/36 = 2/9

Daniel buys two apples for every five oranges. If you bought 12 apples, how many oranges dis he buy?
wariber [46]

Answer:

30 oranges

Step-by-step explanation:

2 apples : 5 oranges

12 apples : 30 oranges

because 12 apples is 6 times the original ratio, so we multiply the 5 oranges by 6 too.
