Multiply the 1st equation by 2: ====> -8g +10 h = 8, then add it to the 2nd equation [( -8g+10h=8) + (8g+10h = -4) ]  & you will get h=4/20 = 1/5.

Plug this value to find g

Use De Moivre’s Theorem to compute the following: <img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=%5B3%28cos27%2Bisin27%29%7D%5E5" id="TexForm
zhannawk [14.2K]
Hello:
<span>Use De Moivre’s Theorem :
</span>(3(cos27 +isin27)^5 = 3^5( cos(27 × 5) +isin(27 × 5))
                                = 3^5 ( cos(135)+i sin(135))
                                = 3^5(-√2/2+i √2/2)
because :  cos(135) = -√2/2    and   sin(135) = √2/2
(3(cos27 +isin27)^5 = (- 3^5√2/2)+ i ( 3^5√2/2)  ...(form : a+ib  when
a= (- 3^5√2/2)  and  b = ( 3^5√2/2)

A merchant buys a television for $125 and sells it for $75 more.What is the percent of markup?
cestrela7 [59]
Since he sold it for $75 more,

% Mark Up = Mark Up/ Cost Price  x 100%

% Mark Up =   75 / 125 x 100%      =   0.6  x 100% = 60%

Percent Mark Up = 60%
Hope this helps :)
