"States passed segregationist legislation and expanded Jim Crow" BEST describes the immediate effect of the Plessy v. Ferguson decision.

Answer: Option A

Explanation:

In 1896, Plessy v. Ferguson was a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that Louisiana state law, which rendered it compulsory for blacks and whites to have separate but equal railways, was not lawful.

Jim Crow's concepts were defended in Plessy vs. Ferguson's court, where the U.S. Supreme Court set out its "isolate but equal" legal concept between many African Americans' facilities. In fact, public education had been mainly separated since its development in many regions of the South after the Civil War.

In a democracy, it's your vote that counts. in feudalism, it's your count that votes. pun explain
balu736 [363]
In democracy, all people can vote for a leader. However, feudalism is where people have more power based off their social rank (like a Count).
Essentially, your vote counts - no matter who you are - in democracy. In feudalism, only the important people vote - like a Count.

Hope this helped! :)

Choose all that apply.
Oduvanchick [21]

The correct option is: "Londoners developed breathing problems due to the smog. - Coal mines polluted the surrounding environment."

Coal was the main source of energy for the first Industrial Revolution, fueled the steam engine and was crucial in the steel industry. Until the industrial revolution, the most used energy came from wood and charcoal. Its consumption was producing a huge deforestation.

Although the operation of the mines (iron beams to support the galleries, methods of ventilation, methods to extract the water, use of trolleys on rails) was greatly improved, in order to increase the productivity, the work in them became something very dangerous and very painful.

The Industrial Revolution in the mid-eighteenth century caused many people to move from the villages to London, shooting the smog during the winters. Its high point came in the winter of 1952. London was paralyzed for five days by smog.
