Moles are rodents very similar to mice. They typically live underground, spending most of their lives below the earth's surface.

Mice, on the other hand, may dig burrows to nest and sleep in, but they spend much of their time above ground. Their nests can be made of cloth, hair, and hay. Because moles live underground, they have developed differently than mice.
What adaptation would you expect to see in moles?

A) Moles have developed special claws used for clutching their young.

B) Moles have developed markings that help them identify one another.

C) Moles have developed a special pouch to keep newborn mole babies in.

D) Moles have developed a membrane that can keep dirt out of their eyes.

Answer:

D)

Step-by-step explanation:

We will analyze each answer to find the correct one.

A) Moles have developed special claws used for clutching their young.

Although they may have developed they make more sense than they have developed is to dig in the ground, it has nothing to do with grabbing the young.

B) Moles have developed markings that help them identify one another.

There is no context with the statement of the question

C) Moles have developed a special pouch to keep newborn mole babies in.

It would make sense since your children are born in burrows below the ground, but even without this special bag the moles can survive.

D) Moles have developed a membrane that can keep dirt out of their eyes.

This is the correct answer as it is the one that makes the most sense, because when digging, the ideal is that they develop a type of protection because of this.

The answer is D.

Rita earns $10 per hour. She puts 5% of her earnings in savings. Write inequality to find how many hours Rita must work to save
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

Rita must work 50 days  to save at least $25.

Step-by-step explanation:

The amount Rita earns per hour  = $10

The saving percentage =  5%

So, the savings of Rita per hour =  5% of $10

⇒5% of $10  = \frac{5}{100} \times 10 = 0.5

or Rita saves $0.5 per hour.

The amount she wants to save at minimum  = $25

So, let she works at the minimum of k Days.

⇒\textrm{The number of hours she has to work}  = \frac{\textrm{Amount she needs saving}}{\textrm{Amount saved in 1 hour}}

or, k = \frac{25}{0.5} = 50

The number of hours she has to work  =  50 days

Hence,  Rita must work 50 days  to save at least $25.

Use the given data to find the minimum sample size required to estimate a population proportion or percentage. margin of error:
guapka [62]
Minimum required sample size for a desired margin of error and confidence level when it is a proportion problem: n = (z2÷margin of error2)*p-hat*q-hat

The maximum value of p-hat*q-hat occurs where p-hat = .5 (found by taking the derivative of (p-hat)*(1-p-hat) and setting it equal to 0 to find the maximum. n = ( 2.5762( for 99% confidence interval)÷.0482 )*.5*.5 = 720.028 or 721
