Answer:

The candle will give out less light if there is a lower of oxygen. This happens because a high concentration of oxygen means that there are a of oxygen molecules near the wax. With a lot of molecules - it is likely that the molecules will bump into the wax.

How many atoms of Lead are in a 62.7 g sample of Lead(II) permanganate?
Alexandra [31]

Answer:

\large \boxed {8.48 \times 10^{22}\text{ atoms}}

Explanation:

1 mol of Pb(MnO₄)₂contains 1 mol of Pb atoms.

1. Moles of Pb

\text{Moles of Pb} = \text{62.7 g Pb(MnO$_{4}$)}_{2} \times \dfrac{\text{1 mol Pb(MnO$_{4}$)}_{2}}{\text{445.07 g Pb(MnO$_{4}$)}_{2}}\\\\\times \dfrac{\text{1 mol Pb}}{\text{1 mol  Pb(MnO$_{4}$)}_{2}} = \text{0.1409 mol Pb}

2. Atoms of Pb

\text{Atoms of Pb} = \text{0.1409 mol Pb } \times \dfrac{ 6.022  \times 10^{23}\text{ atoms Pb }}{\text{1 mol Pb }}\\\\= \large \boxed {\mathbf{8.48 \times 10^{22}}\textbf{ atoms Pb }}

In a recent Grand Prix, the winner completed the race with an average speed of 299.8 km/h. What was his speed in miles per hour,
scoundrel [369]

Answer :

(a) The speed is, 186.287 mi/hr

(b) The speed is, 83.277 m/s

(c) The speed is, 273.22 feet/s

Explanation :

(a) We are given the speed is, 299.8km/hr

As we know that,

1km=\frac{1}{1.60934}mi

By using both the conversion, we get:

299.8km/hr

\Rightarrow \frac{299.8km}{1hr}\times \frac{1mi}{1.60934km}

\Rightarrow 186.287mi/hr

The speed is, 186.287 mi/hr

(b) We are given the speed is, 299.8km/hr

As we know that,

1km=1000m

and,

1hr=3600s

By using both the conversion, we get:

299.8km/hr

\Rightarrow \frac{299.8km}{1hr}\times \frac{1000m}{1km}\times \frac{1hr}{3600s}

\Rightarrow 83.277m/s

The speed is, 83.277 m/s

(c) We are given the speed is, 299.8km/hr

As we know that,

1km=3280.84feet

and,

1hr=3600s

By using both the conversion, we get:

299.8km/hr

\Rightarrow \frac{299.8km}{1hr}\times \frac{3280.84feet}{1km}\times \frac{1hr}{3600s}

\Rightarrow 273.22feet/s

The speed is, 273.22 feet/s

Which of the following is a correct statement about water?
BabaBlast [244]
<h3><u>Answer;</u></h3>

Hydrogen bonding causes water to be strongly cohesive.

<h3><u>Explanation;</u></h3>
  • The strong hydrogen bonds give water a high cohesiveness and, consequently, surface tension.
  • Hydrogen bonding makes ice less dense than liquid water and since ice is less dense than water, it is able to float at the surface of water.
  • Water is considered the universal solvent due to its ability to dissolve or dissociate most compounds, a property that results from its polarity, where oxygen has a higher electronegativity than hydrogen.
