Answer:

the bunch of 23 electrons must be placed on y axis at coordinate y = - 24.35 m.

Explanation:

As we know that the gravitational force on electron at y = 0 is counter-balanced by the weight of the electron

So we have

\frac{kq_1q_2}{r^2} = mg

here we have

q_1 = e

q_2 = 23 e

m = 9.11 \times 10^{-31} kg

also we know that

e = 1.6 \times 10^{-19} C

so we will have

\frac{(9\times 10^9)(1.6 \times 10^{-19})(23\times 1.6 \times 10^{-19})}{r^2} = (9.11 \times 10^{-31})(9.81)

\frac{5.3 \times 10^{-27}}{r^2} = 8.94 \times 10^{-30}

r = 24.35 m

so the bunch of 23 electrons must be placed on y axis at coordinate y = - 24.35 m.

How much brighter is a Sun-like star than the reflected light from a planet orbiting around it?
zloy xaker [14]

Answer:

E) a billion times brighter

Explanation:

  • <u>The sun is a star, which is about billion times brighter as the reflected light from any planet orbiting around it. </u>
  • The brightness is based on its composition and its position from the planet. The sun happens to be the brightest star on the Earth's sky which is about 13 billion times brighter than the next brightest star.

The Sun travels in a circular orbit at a velocity of 220 km/second at a distance of 8.5 kiloparsecs from the center of the Galax
Marrrta [24]

Answer:

2.353 × 10⁵ years

Explanation:

Since speed, v = distance/time

time, t = distance/speed

The distance, d = circumference of orbit = 2πr where r = radius of orbit = 8.5 kiloparsecs = 8.5 kiloparsecs × 3.1 × 10¹³ kilometers/parsec = ‭26.35‬ × 10¹³ kilometers and velocity of sun, v = 220 km/s

So, the time it takes to complete one orbit, T is

T = 2πr/v

= 2π × 26.35‬ × 10¹³ km/220 km/s

= 165.562  × 10¹³ km ÷ 220 km/s

= 0.753 × 10¹³ s

= 7.53 × 10¹² s

We now convert T to years

T = 7.53 × 10¹² s ÷ 3.2 × 10⁷ seconds/year

T = 2.353 × 10⁵ years

Explain why the rocket can move at constant speed in outer space.
iren [92.7K]

Answer:

When the rocket's engines are fired up, the force of gravity is disturbed, and the rocket takes off in the air. Later, as the rocket's fuel runs out, it slows down, comes to a halt, and eventually plummets to Earth's surface. Forces can affect objects in space as well. Spaceships are constantly in motion while traversing the solar system.

In a solution,a Is the substance being dissolved
Elena-2011 [213]
In a solution, a SOLUTE is the substance being dissolved.

In a solution, a SOLVENT is the substance in which something is dissolved.

For example in salt water, the salt is the solute. And the water is the solvent. Usually, which substance has a larger amount in the solution can be called a solvent. It doesn't matter if it's a gas, solid, or liquid. They can all be solute or solvents.
