If you are driving 80 km/h along a straight road and you look to the side for 2.1 s , how far do you travel during this inattent
ella [17]
Velocity = displacement / time

First, Always make sure that your units for things are the same. In this question, we are given time in seconds and hours. So, we need to make them all use 1 unit.

I will do seconds.

To convert 80km/h to m/s, divide by 3.6.

22.2222…. m/s = displacement / 2.1s

Multiply by 2.1s on both sides

46.6666……m = displacement

You travelled 47 meters.

The ball at the top of the ramp has potential energy but when it rolls down or when it is rolling down it has kinetic. The ball has kinetic energy when it is moving or rolling down the ramp but there is Potential energy when the ball is at the top or is sitting at the bottom still. when the ball is rolling down the ramp it has heat energy because of how it get speed and it starts to heat up.

A football game customarily begins with a coin toss to determine who kicks off. The referee tosses the coin up with an initial s
Cerrena [4.2K]

Answer:

The coin travels 1.8348 meters above its point of release.

Explanation:

Initial speed = 6 m/s (Assumed vertical speed as not stated in question)

Final Speed = 0 m/s    (at the highest point in air)

Acceleration due to gravity = -9.81 m/s^2

Equation of motion used:

(V_f)^2 - (V_i)^2 = 2 *a * s

0^2 - 6^2 = 2 * (-9.81) * s

s = 1.8348 m

Thus, the coin will travel 1.8348 meters up to its highest point in the air.
