Answer:

Primacy effect

Explanation:

The primacy effect refers to impressions formed about others in the first encounters with them. When creating impressions of others, our first impression about that person determines strongly how we feel about them and what we think of them. Therefore, first impressions are more important than later impressions. Later judgments about the person, stem from the initial perception of the individual. Smell, speech, physical appearance, manner of approach and so on, shape the initial perception of an individual.

Answer: Primacy-recency

Explanation: Primacy-recency effect is a psychological phenomenon which is associated with a person's memory. The primacy-recency effect argues that, When an individual is fed with a certain information,

When the information at the beginning or an initial information is more likely to be remembered than the latter information, we have a primacy effect. Why is television more effective than radio in influencing public opinion?
Lunna [17]
I believe television is more effective than radio because, television provide a visual image of certain things, and people find visuals more appealing and favorite more than listening to someone speaking. The images tend to capture the mind of the viewer causing them to be more attracted to a certain thing, causing it to have a greater influence on public opinion. For example, If Pepsi chose to create an advertisement in a radio by just simply stating that it's refreshing and saying that you should buy it. But Coca Cola chose to make an ad on TV by showing people enjoying the drink by the pool in a summer day, you are more likely to chose Coke because it appealed to you more than Pepsi. So I think that's why Television is more effective in influencing public opinion than a radio.

Hope this helps you
