<u>According to the concept of belief perseverance, when faced with evidence supporting a person's point of view on a controversial issue, that person would tend to assume the evidence is true</u>. Belief perseverance is the tendency to cling to our beliefs in the face of contrary evidence. It is an inherent human behavior. An example, a small group of people who still think that the Earth is flat even though they are normal members of modern society. In other words, people expend considerable mental energy to maintain their beliefs when presented with facts that prove them wrong.
I would discipline them mentally and physically but not physically hitting them . Like writing sentences. Or tire flips. Another one would be grounding.
