I'm pretty sure it's 5 meters.
Ramp height: .8 meters.
Weight of cart: 1,000.
Force it takes: 200.
1,000/200.
=5
I hope it's right.
Tell me if it's not.

help please what is the heat required in kilocalories to convert 2 kg of ice at 0°c completely into steam at 100°c? a. 80 calori
ivann1987 [24]
<span>Q = mL
</span>
We need to know the latent heat of fusion, L, for 0 degrees.

L = 336 kJ/kg, m = 2kg

where L is the latent heat for vaporization

Q = 2 * 336 = 672 kJ

For conversion between 0 and 100 degree Celsius

Q = mcθ,   specific heat capacity = 4.2 kJ/kgK

Q = 2*4.2* (100 - 0) = 840 kJ

For conversion to steam at 100 degrees Celsius

<span>Q = mL ,  L = latent heat of vaporization = 2256 kj/kg
</span>
Q = 2 * 2256 = 4512 kJ

Total heat = 672 + 840 + 4512 = 6024 kJ

= 6 024 000 J

But 1 calorie = 4.2 J

Therefore 6 024 000 J will be:           6 024 000/4.2 ≈ 1 434 286 Calories

≈ 1 434 kCalories

An object having a fixed emissivity of 0. 725 radiates heat at a rate of 10 w when it is at an absolute temperature t. If its te

<h3>160 W</h3>

If the temperature is doubled to 2t, the rate at which it will now radiate is 160 W.

<h3>What is meant by emissivity?</h3>
  • The ability of a substance to reflect heat radiation from its surface is measured by its emissivity.
  • Thermal radiation is a type of electromagnetic radiation that includes infrared radiation, which the human eye cannot perceive, as well as visible radiation (light).
  • According to the Stefan-Boltzmann law, emissivity is the quantitative comparison between the thermal radiation of a surface and that of an ideal black surface at a given temperature.
  • Between 0 and 1 is the ratio's range.

<h3>What is energy radiation?</h3>
  • The emissivity of a substance is a measurement of how well it reflects heat radiation from its surface.
  • Two elements that affect power dissipation in the form of radiation are the material's surface emissivity and the temperature difference between the chip surface and the surrounding air.

A ball at rest rolls across a frictionless floor at 12.0 m/s/s. How far will it travel in
professor190 [17]

Answer:

The distance, d travelled by the ball is 768 metres.

Explanation:

In physics, acceleration can be defined as the rate of change of the velocity of an object with respect to time.

This simply means that, acceleration is given by the subtraction of final speed from the initial speed all over time.

Hence, if we subtract the final speed from the initial speed and divide that by the time, we can calculate an object’s acceleration.

Mathematically, acceleration is given by the equation;

Acceleration (a) = \frac{initial \; speed  -  final \; speed}{time}

a = \frac{v  -  u}{t}

Where,

a is acceleration measured in ms^{-2}

v and u is initial and final speed respectively, measured in ms^{-1}

t is time measured in seconds.

Given the following data;

Acceleration = 12.0m/s²

Time, t = 8secs

Velocity =?

First, we would calculate its velocity;

a = \frac{v  -  u}{t}

Since the ball rolls at rest, initial velocity is zero (0).

V = a * t

V = 12 * 8

Velocity = 96ms^{-1}

We can now solve for the distance;

Velocity = \frac{distance}{time}

Therefore,

Distance = velocity * time

Distance = 96 * 8

Distance = 768m.
