Briefly explain five contributory factors to most accidents in the world
Vadim26 [7]
Five contributory factors to most accidents in the world include:

• Alcohol

• A lack of knowledge

• Sleep deprivation

• Distractions

• The desire to be at a certain place at a certain time by driving a certain speed

Let’s discuss alcohol first:

Alcohol is one of the broad distractions for driving that we know of. Alcohol can mess with one’s mental state and it can cause deficiencies when driving, most of which include tiredness, zoning out, and lacking knowledge of what’s going on.

A lack of knowledge can also be a distraction and contribution to accidents in the world because in terms of when someone is driving, there are mentioned and unmentioned rules. By not following all rules, someone can hit another vehicle. To follow all the rules, we of course have to know them.

Sleep deprivation is huge. For a healthy balance of physical and mental well-being, one should get at least 8-9 hours of sleep a night. When one does not get enough sleep, it messes up their mind in the same way that alcohol does. It alters thoughts and decreases awareness levels. People can end up sleeping while driving, which wouldn’t be good for traffic or them because they could get hit.

Distractions are a broader way to sum up everything. Distractions can cause someone or a group of people to get hit, and it also can potentially cause stress if somebody has to get two or more tasks done before a deadline.

The desire to be at a place at a certain time by taking a certain speed level when driving also is contributory to accidents. If that case is the driver driving slowly, the accident can happen from build-up traffic. If the driver is driving too fast, they could hit someone. The vehicle could also have a deficiency itself, such as the brakes.
