Hello there!

First you had to switch sides of equation form.

1+5x=208

Then you subtract by one from both sides of equation form.

1+5x-1=208-1

Simplify.

5x=207

Next, you had to divide by five from both sides of equation form.

\frac{5x}{5}= \frac{207}{5}

Finally, simplify by equation form.

x=\frac{207}{5}

207/5=41.4

You can also round up to the nearest tenths is 41.0 it will stay.

Final answer: \boxed{x=207/5} or \boxed{x=41.4=41.0}

Hope this helps!

And thank you for posting your question at here on brainly, and have a great day.

Write a new function that represents a transformation to the parent function if the new function shifts right 5 units and up 3 u
irga5000 [103]

Answer:

Let's define two transformations.

Vertical translation.

If we have a function f(x), a vertical translation of N untis is written as:

g(x) = f(x) + N

If N is positive, then the translation is upwards

If N is negative, then the translation is downwards.

Horizontal translation.

If we have a function f(x), a horizontal translation of N units is written as:

g(x) = f(x - N)

if N is positive, then the translation is to the right

If N is negative, then the translation is to the left.

Now we have a function g(x) that is a transformation of a parent function f(x) (we actually do not know which parent function, so i assume f(x) = x^2) such that we have a shift right 5 units and up 3 units.

Then:

g(x) = f(x - 5) + 3

and again, using f(x) = x^2

g(x) = (x - 5)^2  + 3

Find the 7th term of a geometric sequence with t1 = 6 and r = 4.
Helen [10]

To solve for the 7th term of a geometric sequence with t1 = 6 and r = 4, we use the following equation:

<span>
a(n) = a(1) r^(n-1)
a7 = (6) 4^(7-1)
a7 = 24576</span>

Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day. Feel free to ask more questions.
