It holds that social order is maintained by domination and power, rather than consensus and conformity.

Structural functionalisms sees society as a structure with interrelated parts designed to meet the biological and social needs of the individuals in that society. It lays emphasizes on the official ordering of parts and their working correlations as contributing to the maintenance needs of a structured social system.
