Answer:

Controlling function.

Explanation:

One of the ways how nonverbal messages can be conveyed is gestures. People often help themselves to support what they have to say with gesticulation or use it as the only means of delivering the message. Usage of body language and facial expressions is the original form of communication between humans, because language has developed much later. Thus it often comes more naturally and quicker.

Here, Alicia uses her body language in the form of gesture instead of just saying stop. In this way she exercise control, but also does not want to appear rude. Curiously, just usage of the word 'stop' in many cultures would be considered extreme and inappropriate. At the same time, more vigorous hand gesture considered very normal in southern cultures as Italian, while they would seem very inappropriate in the Northern culture like Finnish.

The environment often reflects or reinforces genetic differences; that is, certain genetic and environmental influences tend to
Oxana [17]

The environment often reflects or reinforces genetic differences; that is, certain genetic and environmental influences tend to act in the same direction. This tendency is called Genotype-environment correlation.

Genotype-environment correlation

 • When a person chooses surroundings based on traits that are impacted by genetics, genetic-environment correlation arises. For instance, highly intelligent students may choose classes that are harder, which broadens their knowledge even more.
 • Research on environmental risk and protective factors has significant challenges because of the gene-environment interaction. Numerous studies in the social sciences have demonstrated that different surroundings are related to psychological characteristics, i.e., that exposure to a particular environment element is related to a particular behavior.
 • These connections, however, do not imply that being exposed to that environment truly causes the feature. Every statistics curriculum in the social sciences teaches the fundamental principle that correlation does not inevitably imply causation.

explain the relation between unconditional positive regard and conditions of worth in the dvelopment of a healthy self
lisabon 2012 [21]

People who have a higher feeling of their own worth are more assured and driven to work toward self-actualization because they have a greater sense of self-worth and confidence in their ability to achieve their goals.

How do positive esteem and characteristics of worth relate?

When a significant other's approval is conditional, when the person feels valued in some ways but not in others, there is a condition of worth.

How may the idea of constant positive respect assist someone in growing into having a healthy personality?

A client may be more inclined to open up to the therapist about their ideas, feelings, and actions if you have this attitude toward them.

Do you believe that a healthy personality development requires unconditional favorable regard?

We are invited to carry out our ideals fearlessly by extending ourselves toward self-compassion and unconditional positive respect. Unconditional positive regard is sometimes mistaken for "feel good" psychotherapy, but research demonstrates that the technique can actually boost self-motivation, self-assurance, and authenticity.
